Lindfield Village dates back to the 11th Century with a colourful history including tales of Henry VIII drinking in the Bent Arms. The High Street today is a hot spot with a wonderful selection of period properties and offers an eclectic range of independent shops, pubs and restaurants and a picture postcard duck pond together with a fabulous village green with football pitch, cricket ground and tennis club. The village is within walking distance of local primary and secondary schools and Haywards Heath station is also within walking distance. The village is a particularly popular destination for young families, primarily because there is such a great sense of community spirit.
